| Brief description of the model kit: | Plastic model kit of Bf-109 aircraft manufactured by Academy is one of the betters. Surface of the model is very smooth with fine and precise engravings. The cockpit is well equipped with nice looking dashboard. The cockpit canopy is made of three individual parts, and we can let it opened or closed. One of worse parts of the model kit is landing gear and water-slides decals of a very poor quality. The model kit provides options for three versions of markings: Capt. Hans Hahn, Maj. Gerhard Schoepfel, and Lt. Waldemar Wuebke. |
| Brief description of construction: | I started and finished building the model in the same time with similar model Bf-110. I used Vallejo and MM paints. If I were building this model a month later, I would use my new acrylic paints made by Tamiya. |

History
The history of Messerschmitt Bf-109, the most common German Luftwaffe fighter aircraft, has its immediate beginnings in 1943. The company Arado, Focke-Wulf and Heinkel received requests to develop a new prototype fighter. Later, the request was forwarded to the company Bayerische Flugzegwere AG in Augsburg. One of the best designer was Ing. Willy Messerschmitt. In 1934 his team had new blueprints of Bf-109 aircraft.
Bf-109 was a low-wing monoplane, with a covered cabin, retractable landing gear and wings fitted with automatic slots on the leading edges and slotted flaps on the trailing edges. Fighter was equipped with single-drive unit, twelve cylinders engine Daimler-Benz 601 with 809 kW output. Late versions were reaching speed up to 400 mph.

K výčtu nedostatků stavebnice bych přidal výfuky obrácené proti směru letu a celkově nepřesné proporce. Pro začínajícího modeláře je to ale dobrá volba, snadno se staví a je za pár korun.
