Macchi MC.200 Saetta was Italian fighter aircraft, that was used during the World War II. The first prototype was manufactured in 1937, and it proved as fully-fledged aircraft for the Italian army in the beginning of the World War II. Its main advantage was great agility, but on the other way, it had weak armament that consisted of two 12.7 mm machine guns. Another weakness was relatively poor engine. Despite its original purpose, aircraft primary role was changed to fighter bomber and ground attack aircraft.
