How to create maps, posters, or newspapers for diorama

Difficulty:

When we create diorama then we want it to look good and realistic for us and for other people. What really makes diorama a good one? From my point of view, it is details. Today you can learn how to create posters on walls, newspapers, magazines, or maps for your diorama.

We will need a computer with internet connection. Today, without computer you almost can't create good models. Then we will need program for editing images. I prefer Gimp. You can get it for free, it runs on many operating systems and it has many built-in functions. We will also need printing machine. But on the other hand, I prefer services of professional printing companies. The quality is much better compared to cheap printing machines.

When we have everything prepared then we can get to work. Let's say we will make little newspapers. We cut the newspapers out and then we carefully remove the thin layer with scalpel or razor blade. It will make newspapers thiner so it will look more realistic. We have to take care not to cut through the first layer with printing. Then we fold the newspapers in half and we put both halves together with glue. Of course, you have to use glue for paper, not for plastic. In the end, you can bend edges a little.
