The Ork Warband

The Orks are a terrible menace, a fearsome race of brutal aliens that infest the length and breadth of the galaxy. Orks are born for war, and enjoy nothing more than the deadly clash of battle, rejoicing in violent close combats above all else. This lust for destruction and love of bloodshed makes the Orks among the most potent forces in the galaxy. The Ork warband contained within Assault on Black Reach contains a horde of deadly Ork warriors, enabling it to effectively fight the enemy in either shooting or close combat.

Ork Warboss

Bigger, tougher and more kunnin' than other Orks, the Ork Warboss is at the very top of the food chain in Ork culture. With a massively powerful frame able to absorb all but the most lethal damage an Ork Warboss can stride through battle shrugging off incredible wounds. If their capacity to take pain is impressive, their ability to deal it out is legendary - for Ork Warbosses are literal killing machines capable of ripping even a Space Marine limb from limb

Ork Nobz

The ruling caste of Ork society are known as the Nobz. Unlike other races who determine their nobility by convoluted family trees or the possession of twinkling crowns and baubles, the Nobz in Ork culture are quite simply the most grizzled, battle-hardened fighters around - in any group of Orks, only the Warboss could be considered tougher or more dangerous. Arrogant and murderous in the extreme, the Nobz bully all the other Orks without mercy and often choose to band together on the battlefield, forming a mob of the deadliest Orks around.

Ork Boyz

Ork Boyz are the rank and file of any given Ork army. Of course, there is nothing 'ordinary' about a warrior that can be stabbed, bludgeoned and shot repeatedly without slowing. Orks are laden with great slabs of muscle and bestowed with thick, strong bones many times stronger than those of a humans, and their ultra-tough skulls can stop a bullet (and even if it didn't, there's no guarantee that the Ork would be slowed by the subsequent wound). Orks fight in massive mobs of roaring warriors, inciting each other on to greater acts of savagery and violence as they storm across the battlefield.

Deffkoptas

Ork Deffkoptas probably shouldn't be able to fly at all. That's the general opinion of any who behold these lunatic creations swooping across the battlefield. Created by crazed Ork Meks with a fascination for aerial combat, Deffkoptas are ramshackle contraptions roughly bolted together and equipped with rotor-blades and rokkit launchas. Only the most unhinged, war-crazed being would ever consider piloting such a creation. Unsurprisingly, among the Orks, there is no shortage of volunteers.
